Jeffers is an associate professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan. Her research focuses on structural fire engineering, wildfire hazards, computational modelling and related areas of fire safety. [4]
She joined the University of Michigan faculty in 2009 and received tenure in 2015. Her honors include a National Science Foundation CAREER Award and several teaching and engineering awards. [5][6]
