Robin Lehner is a Swedish ice hockey goaltender who played in the NHL for the Ottawa Senators, Buffalo Sabres, New York Islanders, Chicago Blackhawks and Vegas Golden Knights. He won the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy and William M. Jennings Trophy in 2019 and shared a second Jennings Trophy with Marc-André Fleury in 2021. [2][3]
Career and work
Lehner was selected by the Ottawa Senators in the second round of the 2009 NHL Draft and made his NHL debut with Ottawa in 2010. He later played for the Buffalo Sabres, New York Islanders and Chicago Blackhawks before joining the Vegas Golden Knights in 2020. [2]
With the Islanders in 2018–19, Lehner recorded a 25–13–5 record with a 2.13 goals-against average and .930 save percentage. That season, he shared the William M. Jennings Trophy with Thomas Greiss and received the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy for perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey. He won the Jennings Trophy again with Marc-André Fleury in 2020–21. [3][2]
